Brief Description of Activity

Job Fair – Participant

2nd Chance Job Fair October 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at The Martin Luther King Center this unit participated in the General Public Job Fair. The H.R. Director attended this event and provided information to attendees about careers in broadcasting and job opportunities within the Baton Rouge unit.

Job Fair – Host

Cumulus Media Baton Rouge Cluster of stations hosted an Open House. This event was open to the public where we provided information to attendees about careers in broadcasting and job opportunities within the Baton Rouge unit.

Mentoring Program

In March, 2015 Cumulus Media Baton Rouge launched a 15 week mentorship program the essential function of which is to equip employees who desire to grow within the company with the tools, training and skills needed to be a candidate for the desired position. Any Full/Part-time employee is eligible to enter into the mentorship program. Each mentee must commit to 4-6 hours of training above and beyond their regular hours/duties for 15 weeks. He/She will meet with the Department Head of the area in which the mentee has expressed an interest to grow. The Department Head (Mentor) will assess the growth of the mentee and complete a brief report, which will be placed in his/her employee file. That report will be reviewed in the event of a job opening in the area of the employee’s interest.

Internship Program
